He is liking tummy time more and more
Check out that scowl!

And this is my little brother Justin when he was a baby
Is it just me, or did we find Owen's look-a-like???
Owen is already 2 weeks old! We are figuring this whole parenting thing out and loving every minute of it! My mom left on Saturday so we've been on our own for a few days now and we are surviving, rather well actually! I cant say how nice it was to have her help for a week though.
We sure love this little guy and can't seem to get enough of him.
Grandma Debbie and Owen......
But Owen usually finds a way to get his hands out and by his face......

I feel like I'm living in a whirlwind. After the bowl game in Vegas we went straight to Denver for Christmas with the Denneys! Christmas was wonderful! We slept in, ate a delicious brunch, and didn't open presents til almost noon. Santa was good to all of us, including the lil' guy. We spent six days with the Denneys eating at all of our favorite spots, playing games, completing the most difficult puzzle ever, and just relaxing.
From there we went to Alamosa to visit my parents for a few days, ring in the New Year with them, and I had my first baby shower! Brett played video games with my younger brother for 3 days straight, not kidding. I know my brother loved it just as much as Brett! New Year's eve we partied hard with my family and some good family friends playing games and eating my dad's famous Pasole!
My mom and our good friends Kim and Megan Martinez threw me a baby shower! It was so much fun to see friends and family I hadn't seen in a while. It made this "having a baby" thing even more real, and made me even more anxious! I just have to show off the cutest diaper wreath and diaper cake that my mom, Kim, and Megan made!
Since we've been back, we've moved into our new apartment. We are slowly making progress as we tackle the stacks of boxes in our living room....trying to find and make room for all of our stuff in our somewhat tight living quarters. I just keep telling myself it's temporary....hopefully.
So its January 6th, and with everything going on I haven't even had time to reflect on this past year or my resolutions for the new one. And right now.....I'm too exhausted to think about. But I promise I will very soon.
This was the only picture I got of the game....oops
Brett's dedicated and supportive fam.....they've been at every game!!!
Crazy fans.....
Checking out the lights at Temple Square....Loving this time of year!

After the game
Seniors...Matt, Jan, & Brett

Brett's parents, and his sister Kim, have been coming to BYU games since their oldest son Ryan played at BYU in 1998. This was their last game at Lavelle Edwards Stadium.....at least until their grandsons are playing for BYU in 15 or so years.

Three seasons ago I was watching Brett play as the twitterpated girlfriend:) Last season, I was the newlywed wife, watching more diligently and with a little more worry. And this season, there's been two of us cheerin' for him....me and the lil' guy in the belly.
It's been a fun three years of football. I've loved watching Brett play and I'm so proud of him and all of his accomplishments! I'm excited to see what this next "season" of life after BYU football brings us!!
