I need a hobby!!!

Brett recently started umpiring city league softball games three nights a week. Usually he works from 6pm-10pm, but some nights he works from 7pm-11pm. Ugggg!!! What's a girl supposed to do all by her lonesome? After working all day all I really wanna do is relax, but that's only fun when Brett and I can relax together, watch movies, or our favorite tv shows. Lately, I'll get home from work, we'll have dinner together, and then he gets ready to go. The last few nights he's worked I've been twiddling my thumbs thinking of things to do. Sad right? I go to the gym (but i only last a good hour there), which still allows time for twiddling my thumbs. I gave myself the best home-pedicure tonight, I guess that could become a weekly routine! ANYWAYS, WHAT I NEED IS A HOBBY. Everyone seems to have something they are good at and love to do, like scrap-booking or something artsy. Nope, not me. So I'm open to hear what some of YOUR hobbies are. What can I do to keep myself from dying of boredom, and feel like I'm being productive with my time???? HELP:)

I went through that transition too. I love doing everything with John but sometimes it's not always possible. I felt like I saw John more when we were dating than when we were first married. Does watching reality TV count as a hobby? Blogging maybe? Just kidding. I have a couple of good books I'm reading and I do the scrapbooking thing. You should do some kind of soccer or softball and then Brett can be the ump and you both win! I wish I could have seen you guys while I was in town. My trip was so short and my sister's get a little possessive of my time.

does a kid count as a hobby...they take up all kinds of time!

on a more serious note - have you thought about sewing? I made ryan a tshirt blanket of all his byu tshirts and it was really fun. that took up some good hours and helped him clean out his closet.

if you're really bored you can always come hang out up here! we'd love to see you!

Kirsty! Your blog is beautiful but thats because there are so many pictures of you everywhere! I'm still sad I couldn't be there. About your post, I am going through the same thing! I am so board when I'm not with Brady or he has something do to... I sit and twiddle my thumbs too!! I have been looking for a hobby. I like the kid idea, haha. I have been thinking of sewing, making skirts and stuff or learning how to do pottery or taking some cooking classes. I love looking in cook books and making new stuff. Let me know if you come across any good ideas.
