A co-worker forwarded me this cute lil' 3rd trimester joke.....

Dear Baby Denney,

Your current eviction date of February 24th, 2010 has been set for 9 months. In the past few months, I understand that you have become extremely comfortable in your dwelling. Unfortunately, I did not discuss some of the key points of your lease with you.
The late night dance parties were not discussed in your lease, and they've been keeping me awake through the night.
The blockage of a numerous amount of pipes and the leaking of others has to be put to an end!
Also, as far as adding square footage to the dwelling, we discussed a reasonable addition. You have surpassed that by much more than we discussed.
I have prepared another home for you to reside, so don't let house hunting be the reason you stay. Should your eviction date come and pass, please note that I will use forceful measures to remove you. I would like for this transition to be as painless and quick as possible. Please don't make this any harder than it has to be.

Alpine Baby Shower!

I was fortunate enough to have my sister-in-law Laura throw me a baby shower at her home in Alpine....with the help of Kimi, Sheri, and Traci Rothey! It was a great shower, we got some great things for the lil' guy, and I had so much fun seeing friends and family (many of which I hadn't seen in a while).

I got some adorable home-made quilts, receiving blankets, and burp wrags; and Sheri and my mom made the crib bedding. Some of you have been asking for pics of the bedding, so here it is! We don't have our crib yet so you can't see it all put together, but you will get a good idea of what it will look like.

My job is to make some coordinating pillows....I'm a rookie sewer, but I think I can handle it!

Our lil' guy is so lucky to have such great friends and family that were SO GENEROUS to us! Thanks everyone!!

Whirlwind

I feel like I'm living in a whirlwind. After the bowl game in Vegas we went straight to Denver for Christmas with the Denneys! Christmas was wonderful! We slept in, ate a delicious brunch, and didn't open presents til almost noon. Santa was good to all of us, including the lil' guy. We spent six days with the Denneys eating at all of our favorite spots, playing games, completing the most difficult puzzle ever, and just relaxing.

From there we went to Alamosa to visit my parents for a few days, ring in the New Year with them, and I had my first baby shower! Brett played video games with my younger brother for 3 days straight, not kidding. I know my brother loved it just as much as Brett! New Year's eve we partied hard with my family and some good family friends playing games and eating my dad's famous Pasole!

My mom and our good friends Kim and Megan Martinez threw me a baby shower! It was so much fun to see friends and family I hadn't seen in a while. It made this "having a baby" thing even more real, and made me even more anxious! I just have to show off the cutest diaper wreath and diaper cake that my mom, Kim, and Megan made! Since we've been back, we've moved into our new apartment. We are slowly making progress as we tackle the stacks of boxes in our living room....trying to find and make room for all of our stuff in our somewhat tight living quarters. I just keep telling myself it's temporary....hopefully.

So its January 6th, and with everything going on I haven't even had time to reflect on this past year or my resolutions for the new one. And right now.....I'm too exhausted to think about. But I promise I will very soon.
