Whirlwind

I feel like I'm living in a whirlwind. After the bowl game in Vegas we went straight to Denver for Christmas with the Denneys! Christmas was wonderful! We slept in, ate a delicious brunch, and didn't open presents til almost noon. Santa was good to all of us, including the lil' guy. We spent six days with the Denneys eating at all of our favorite spots, playing games, completing the most difficult puzzle ever, and just relaxing.

From there we went to Alamosa to visit my parents for a few days, ring in the New Year with them, and I had my first baby shower! Brett played video games with my younger brother for 3 days straight, not kidding. I know my brother loved it just as much as Brett! New Year's eve we partied hard with my family and some good family friends playing games and eating my dad's famous Pasole!

My mom and our good friends Kim and Megan Martinez threw me a baby shower! It was so much fun to see friends and family I hadn't seen in a while. It made this "having a baby" thing even more real, and made me even more anxious! I just have to show off the cutest diaper wreath and diaper cake that my mom, Kim, and Megan made! Since we've been back, we've moved into our new apartment. We are slowly making progress as we tackle the stacks of boxes in our living room....trying to find and make room for all of our stuff in our somewhat tight living quarters. I just keep telling myself it's temporary....hopefully.

So its January 6th, and with everything going on I haven't even had time to reflect on this past year or my resolutions for the new one. And right now.....I'm too exhausted to think about. But I promise I will very soon.
